Tarek Bishay is an eminent personality who is serving as the Professor of Cardiology at the National Heart Institute, Egypt. He has attained his Doctorate in the field of Cardiology. His expertise is mainly in the field of Clinical Cardiology and Echocardiography, especially in Transesophageal Echocardiograph. He is also a pioneer in TEE, also has undergone 3 Dimensional Echocardiography training in Italy. He has 30 National and International publications made in the field of Cardiology. He is part of the European Cardiology Society and European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging(EACVI).

Carlo Banfi, MD, PhD, FCCP, is a Senior Cardiac Surgeon at the Geneva University Hospitals (Division of Cardiovascular Surgery), and He is the Surgical Responsible for the Programme of ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Support Heart Failure Team. He obtained a PhD in Physio-­pathology of Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). He is member of the French College of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. His main research interests concern heart failure in all his forms, and new technologies. In these fields, he authored or co-­authored over 100 scientific papers published in peer reviewed journals and books. As Associate Editor, he is also in charge of the Journal of BMC Surgery (IF:1.42) and Springer Plus Medicine (IF:0.92). As a chairman or keynote lecturer, he contributes to a number of international conferences organized by different prestigious societies. He is a regular Member of the European Society of Cardio-­thoracic surgery and International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation.

He was offered Fellowship Program in Complex Angioplasties from RFUMS, North Chicago, IL, USA. He then joined Dr. Richard Spears, in the year 2005 for Laser Coronary Interventions.He also received specialized training from Marie Claude Morris on Bifurcations in Paris. He is the only Asian Interventional Cardiologist trained in both Laser Coronary Interventions and RMNS (Remote Angioplasty)
