Dr. Vadim Lyubomudrov graduated from Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1982. From 1990 to 2010 he was a director and leading surgeon of Pediatric cardiac surgery department in Children’s Hospital #1 at St, Petersburg. Since 2010 he works as a leading pediatric cardiac surgeon at Kuwait’s Chest Disease Hospital – the only center of the entire country. Works as a moderator for the Russian society of pediatric cardiac surgeons. A longtime member of EACTS and ECHSA.

Pediatric Cardiology

Youyang Zhao, Ph.D., is William G. Swartchild, Jr. Distinguished Research Professor and Director of the Program for Lung and Vascular Biology, and Head of the Injury Repair and Regeneration Research at the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He is Professor of Pediatrics, Medicine (Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine), and Pharmacology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and member of the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute. Dr. Zhao joined Lurie Children’s in July 2017 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he started with Assistant Professor in 2003 and became Full Professor of Pharmacology in 2015. Prior to his tenure at UIC, he had 3 year experience in drug discovery at Pharmacia/Pfizer Co. as a senior research scientist. He received his B.S. from Fudan University, Shanghai; and Ph.D. in molecular biology from Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Zhao completed his postdoctoral training in molecular biology and cardiovascular biology at Harvard University; Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School; and The University of California, San Diego.

I obtained my Master's Degree in "Medical Sciences" from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, and afterwards, I became a Cardiology specialist at Pisa University Hospital. I undertook specific training in cardiovascular imaging, achieving multiple international certifications. I completed my PhD degree in "Clinical and Translational Science" at Pisa University, where I applied several imaging techniques in the field of heart failure. My main interest and contribution to the literature lie with cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology, combining research with intensive clinical activity. In particular, I am focusing on novel measures of cardiovascular damage to refining the stratification of patients who present different cardiovascular risk factors.

I have also spent a number of years working as a Pharmacy Dispenser, and have subsequently gained an in-depth understanding of a large myriad of medications, their side effects and recommended dosage. This provides me with a strong and directly transferrable skill-set when I as i transition from student to Registered Nurse.

Heart Failure

Currently am an apprenticeship in the NHS doing an executive MBA in leadership and management at Hult Ashridge international business school. A senior cardiac nurse with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. Skilled in advance physical assessment, independent prescribing,Clinical Research, Patient Safety, Acute cardiovascular Care, Nursing, and heart failure, Auditing and data collection. Professional graduated from City university, Kings College London and Glasgow Caledonian University. I currently work a a heart failure specialist nurse.

Dr. Ellahham is a Board-certified internist, cardiologist and vascular medicine senior consultant and continues to care for patients. He received his undergraduate degree in biology and his M.D. from the American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon. Dr. Ellahham did his fellowship in Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in USA. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Ellahham worked in Washington DC in several clinical and leadership positions before moving to UAE in 2008. He led the First AHA GWTG Heart Failure Initiative outside US and was the recipient of the AHA GWTG Award in Wash. DC. He is the champion of the AHA GWTG in the region. Dr. Ellahham continues to be an active clinician. He is board certified in internal medicine, vascular medicine, cardiology and quality. He was recently recertified in 2017 by the American Board of Cardiology (ABIM). He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and key member in Heart Failure and Transplant, Adult Congenital and Pediatric Cardiology, Cardio-oncology and Peripheral Vascular Disease Sections. He is the Eminent Editor of The Journal of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Therapy. In addition, he serves on the editorial board of American Journal of Medical Quality, Developments in Clinical & Medical Pathology (DCMP), the Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety, Telehealth and Medicine Today (TMT), Blockchain journal (BHTY), Medical Science, Open Journal of Cardiatic Research, UPI Journal of Pharmaceutical, Medical and Health Sciences (UPI-JPMHS, Open Access Research in Anatomy, Gerontology & Geriatrics studies and Open Access Journal of Clinical Trials, Hypertension Today Journal and Focus on Hypertension Journal. Dr. Ellahham has served as Chief Quality Officer for SKMC since 2009. In his role, Dr. Ellahham has led the development of a quality and safety program that has been highly successful and visible and has been recognized internationally by a number of awards. As Chief Quality Officer and Global Healthcare Leader, Dr. Ellahham had a focus on ensuring that that implementation of these best practices leads to breakthrough improvements in clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience and risk management.

Dr. Ellahham is an avid researcher; his research includes heart failure, acute coronary syndromes, second victim phenomenon, innovation, digital healthcare solutions, telemedicine, block chain, patient experience and engagement, lean six sigma, safety, bowtie risk management tool and KPI management. He is a recognized world-leader in these fields. He received several research awards including the DuPont Pharmaceuticals Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Young Investigator Award; the Alfred Soffer Research Award, ACCP 58th Annual Scientific Assembly, Finalist; the First Young Investigator Award 12th, Annual Meeting of the Mediterranean Association of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines Award.

Dr. Jose M Zuniga was appointed President of the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC) in 1999. Prior to his appointment, he served as IAPAC's Vice President, charged with advancing the association's medical education and technical assistance initiatives. He lectures at several academic institutions; has been published in various journals; has authored thematic chapters for four books and edited three books: The HIV Pandemic (Oxford University Press [OUP], 2006); Decade of HAART (OUP, 2008) and Advancing the Human Right to Health (OUP, 2013). He is Editor of the Journal of the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (JIAPAC). He is an IAPAC Trustee, and a member of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee. He is a member of the American Public Health Association and the National Hispanic Medical Association.

HIV/AIDS Research

Current Duties: Attending Cardiologist, Foothills Hospital, Rockyview General Hospital, and South Health Campus. Medical Program Director, TotalCardiology Rehabilitation. Deputy Chief of Cardiology, AHS Calgary Zone. Area Council Cardiology Co-Chair, Connect Care. Former Medical Director of the TotalCardiology as well as the RGH Heart Function Clinics. Dr. Aggarwal graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School. He then completed a four year General Internal Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto (3 yrs) and Queens(1yr). Dr. Aggarwal practiced as a General Internist for one year before beginning his Cardiology training at the University of Calgary. He subsequently was at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute for his fellowship in Echocardiography.

Dr. Aggarwal specializes in cardiac and carotid ultrasound, cardiac rehabilitation and has a special interest in heart failure and medical informatics. His research is focused in cardiac rehabilitation.
